I am very torn. Stay and defend my Commonwealth Title in my home town with all the advantages and pressures that brings or travel to Croatia in order to try and get that elusive good result at the World Championships?
Who else is planning to do what? |

With no disrespect to those who have taken on this role, there has been some discussion about the need for a Team Manager for the Veterans.
The argument for a Manager is that it is of value to have someone who can co-ordinate travel, act for the fencers during the event and deal with accommodation and travel issues. The argument against is that Vet Fencers are generally sufficiently experienced enough in life to be able to manage themselves well enough. When small teams are travelling the cost of funding a manager is a high impost on the fencers and in Moscow this situation lead to Australia not being able to afford to send a referee. How do you think your money is best spent? |
